10,000T Steel Silo Group Project
Kenya · Delivered 2019

Project Description
Client Background: Food security in East Africa has long been a priority for local governments and international organizations. The client is a national-level grain reserve and trading institution in Kenya, needing to build large-scale storage facilities to safeguard food security and smooth market supply.
Challenge: The East African plateau has a complex climate with distinct dry and rainy seasons, imposing high requirements on silo airtightness and durability. At the same time, it must meet the throughput demands of large-scale centralized grain loading and unloading.
Solution: AmGrainTech provided a bolted hopper-bottom steel silo multi-silo combination solution, with a total storage capacity of 10,000T. Configured with a centralized temperature-control ventilation system: multi-point temperature-sensing cables + automatic ventilation fans, ensuring uniform in-silo temperature and preventing condensation and local hot spots. The grain handling system uses a bucket-elevator + scraper-conveyor combination to match rapid turnover needs during peak periods.
Process Reference: Per the knowledge base steel silo system product line, bolted hopper-bottom silos range from 50–20,000+ T per silo; this solution uses a multi-silo combination design to achieve the 10,000T total capacity. Equipped with a multi-point temperature-sensing system for real-time grain-condition monitoring, with axial/centrifugal fan combinations meeting ventilation and cooling needs.
