Grain Drying Equipment — The Critical First Step from Field to Silo

Continuous tower dryers · batch circulating dryers · static maize-ear dryers · five heat-source options for grain conditions worldwide

Grain Drying Tower

Why is drying the most important post-harvest step?

Grain is typically harvested at 18–30% moisture, but safe storage requires reducing it to 13–14%. Without timely drying, molds multiply rapidly in hot, humid conditions, and aflatoxin levels above limits render an entire batch commercially worthless — an irreversible economic loss. Professional drying equipment is the first line of defense for grain quality and storage safety.

I. Continuous Tower Dryers — 5HL Series

The 5HL series is AmGrainTech's flagship line, built for large grain storage enterprises, grain depots, and port transshipment terminals. It runs continuously 24/7 with a design service life of over 20 years.

Key advantages: uniform drying, staged temperature control, energy savings, five heat-source options, fully automated control, and remote monitoring via a mobile app.

The full range covers 100–1,000 TPD across nine models: 5HL-100/120/150/200/300/500/600/800/1000. Moisture reduction is 13–15% (from 25% down to a safe 14%), and capacity and heat source can be customized. Contact our sales team for more models.

II. Batch Circulating Dryers — 5HX Series

Batch Grain Dryer

The 5HX series uses a low-temperature, constant-heat drying process and comes in fixed and mobile versions. Batch capacity is 3–35 t/batch, requires no major civil works, and is ready to use on installation. Suited to family farms, agricultural cooperatives, large grain growers, and emergency reserves.

Key advantages: site-flexible and easy to deploy, with options to purchase, lease, requisition for emergencies, or operate across regions. A color touchscreen and mobile connectivity enable remote monitoring.

III. Maize-Ear Dryers — 5HX Static Series

A static drying system designed for maize seed, using a low-to-moderate-temperature hot-air circulation process with no mechanical damage and a germination rate of ≥95%. Available in horizontal and vertical configurations for seed companies and large breeding bases.

Heat sources: A/B/C tracks — there is an option for you

🛢️

Type A · Natural gas / Diesel

Clean hot air and precise temperature control, suited to regions with strict environmental rules and food-grade drying. Natural gas cost depends on local pipeline coverage.

🌿

Type B · Coal / Biomass

Coal offers high calorific value at the lowest cost. Biomass pellets (rice husk/straw/wood chips) reuse agricultural waste — carbon-neutral with near-zero fuel cost.

Type C · Electric

Zero emissions and fully automated, suited to areas with abundant power and strict environmental regulation. A complete electric heating drying solution is available.

Smart control makes drying simple

All models come standard with a PLC intelligent control system that automates the full cycle from loading to discharge: an intuitive color touchscreen HMI, remote monitoring via a mobile app, and, on large towers, dynamic light displays simulating the drying process. Standard functions include automatic full-level sensing, real-time hot-air temperature monitoring, multi-point grain temperature monitoring, automatic load reduction on overheat, a circulation confirmation system that checks grain flow in real time, and a timer on/off. An online moisture meter is available as an option for real-time discharge-moisture monitoring.

Frequently Asked Questions

What capacity range do your grain dryers cover?
We cover the full post-harvest range: batch recirculating dryers 3–35 tons per batch, and continuous mixed-flow tower dryers 100–1,000 tons per day. Tell us your crop and daily throughput and we will recommend the right model.
Can the heat source be customized to local fuel availability?
Yes. We offer five heat-source tracks — coal/biomass, natural gas, diesel, steam, and electric — so the dryer can run on whatever fuel is economical and compliant in your region.
What is the lead time and warranty for a dryer?
Standard standalone dryers are produced in 30–60 days after contract. Warranty is 12 months; lifetime free technical support and 24–48 hour response are included.
Do you provide on-site installation?
Yes — we can dispatch 1–3 engineers for on-site guidance, or provide manuals and remote video guidance via WhatsApp. Large turnkey projects include on-site installation as standard.
